Code of Regs.,&nbsp; tit. 2, &sect;18730)&nbsp;provides that incorporation by reference of the terms of that regulation, along with an agency-specific appendix designating positions and disclosure categories, shall constitute the adoption and amendment of a Conflict of Interest Code in conformance with Government Code 87300 and 87306; and<br>\n<br>\nWHEREAS, the District has recently reviewed its positions and the duties of each position, and has determined that changes to the current Conflict of Interest Code are necessary to align current disclosure practices to the Conflict of Interest Code and make other amendments to the Code consistent with applicable law; and<br>\n<br>\nWHEREAS, any earlier resolutions, bylaws, and/or exhibits containing the District&#39;s Conflict of Interest Code shall be rescinded and superseded by this Resolution and the attached Conflict Code.<br>\n<br>\nNOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Redwood City School District&nbsp; Board of Trustees adopts the Conflict of Interest Code attached hereto as Exhibit A. Staff is hereby directed to file the Conflict of Interest Code with the County of San Mateo and post the updated Conflict of Interest Code with the District&#39;s Board Policies.&nbsp;<br>\n<br>\nPASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 24th day of August, 2022, by the following vote:<br>\n<br>\n<br>\n<br>\nAYES:______ NOES:______ ABSENT:______<br>\n<br>\n<br>\n<br>\nAttest:<br>\n<br>\n_____________________________________________<br>\nSecretary/President<br>\n<br>\n&nbsp;\n<div style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Conflict of Interest Code of the<br>\nRedwood City School District</strong></div>\n<br>\nThe Political Reform Act of 1974 (Government Code section 81000 et seq.) requires state and local government agencies to adopt and promulgate conflict of interest codes. The Fair Political Practices Commission has adopted a regulation, section 18730 of Title 2 of the California Code of Regulations, which contains the terms of a standard conflict of interest code that can be incorporated by reference in an agency&rsquo;s code. After public notice and hearing, the Fair Political Practices Commission may amend the standard code to conform to amendments of the Political Reform Act. Therefore, the terms of section 18730 of title 2 of the California Code of Regulations and any amendments to it duly adopted by the Fair Political Practices Commission together with the attached Appendices designating positions and establishing disclosure categories are hereby incorporated by reference and together constitute the Conflict of Interest Code of the Redwood City School District.<br>\n<br>\nIndividuals holding designated positions shall file their Form 700/Statement of Economic Interests with the Redwood City School District, which will make the statements available for public inspection and reproduction pursuant to Government Code section 81008. Upon receipt of the statements for the Superintendent and the Board of Trustees, the Agency shall make and retain copies and forward the original of the statements to the code reviewing body.
