margin-left:1pt; margin-right:0in; margin-top:0in; text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"page:WordSection1\"><span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">School</span> Plan</span></span></h1>\n<span style=\"font-size:16px\"> <span style=\"page:WordSection1\"><span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">Upon</span> receiving notification from CDE that a district <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">school</span> has been identified as eligible for CSI, TSI, or <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">ATSI,</span> the district <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">shall,</span> in partnership <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">with</span> principals, other <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">school</span> leaders, teachers, and parents/guardians, develop and implement a plan to improve <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">student</span> outcomes at the <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">school.</span> The plan <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">shall:</span> (20 <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">USC</span> 6311)</span></span>\n\n<ol>\n\t<li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-top:0in; margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 6pt\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"page:WordSection1\">Be based on a <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">school-level</span> needs assessment</span></span></li>\n</ol>\n\n<ol start=\"3\">\n\t<li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"text-align:justify; margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 6pt\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"page:WordSection1\">Include <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">evidence-based</span> interventions</span></span></li>\n</ol>\n\n<ol start=\"4\">\n\t<li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-top:0in; (20 <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">USC</span> 6311)<br>\n<br>\nIf any district <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">school</span> is identified for CSI, the district&#39;s local control and accountability plan <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">shall</span> include descriptions of how the district provides <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">support</span> to CSI <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">school(s)</span> in developing the CSI plan and how the district <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">will</span> monitor and evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of the CSI plan to <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">support</span> <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">student</span> and <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">school</span> improvement.</span></span></div>\n\n<h1 style=\"margin-bottom:0.0001pt; margin-left:1pt; margin-right:0in; margin-top:0in; text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\">Monitoring and Intervention</span></h1>\n<br>\n<span style=\"font-size:16px\">The Board and the Superintendent or designee shall regularly review the performance of each school identified for CSI, TSI, or ATSI.<br>\n<br>\nAfter two years of implementing the school plan, if any such school has been unsuccessful in improving student outcomes to a level that exceeds initial eligibility criteria, the district shall identify the problem and take additional action as necessary.<br>\n<br>\nIf a school identified for CSI <span style=\"letter-spacing:-.05pt\">fails</span> to improve student outcomes within four years to a level that exceeds the CSI eligibility criteria, it shall be subject to more rigorous interventions that include, but are not limited to, partnering with an external entity, agency, or individual with demonstrated expertise and capacity to:</span>\n\n<ol>\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type:none\">\n\t<ol>\n\t\t<li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-top:0in; margin-right:5.8pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:justify; margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 6pt\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\">Conduct a new needs assessment that focuses on systemic factors and conduct a root cause analysis that identifies gaps between current conditions and desired conditions in student performance and progress</span></li>\n\t</ol>\n\t</li>\n</ol>\n\n<ol>\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type:none\">\n\t<ol start=\"2\">\n\t\t<li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-top:0in; margin-right:5.8pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:justify; margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 6pt\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\">Use the results of the analysis along with stakeholder feedback to develop a new improvement plan that includes:</span></li>\n\t</ol>\n\t</li>\n</ol>\n\n<ol>\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type:none\">\n\t<ol>\n\t\t<li style=\"list-style-type:none\">\n\t\t<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 6pt\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\">A prioritized set of evidence-based interventions and strategies</span></li>\n\t\t</ol>\n\t\t</li>\n\t</ol>\n\t</li>\n</ol>\n\n<ol>\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type:none\">\n\t<ol>\n\t\t<li style=\"list-style-type:none\">\n\t\t<ol start=\"2\" style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin-top:0in; margin-right:8.95pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt 6pt\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\">A program evaluation component with support to conduct ongoing performance and progress monitoring</span></li>\n\t\t</ol>\n\t\t</li>\n\t</ol>\n\t</li>\n</ol>\n</body>\n</html>\n",
  "contentText": "The Governing Board is committed to enabling all district students to meet state academic achievement standards. The district shall provide support and assistance to increase student achievement in all district schools, especially any school that has been identified by the California Department of Education (CDE) as in need of comprehensive support and improvement (CSI), targeted support and improvement (TSI), or additional targeted support and improvement (ATSI).\n\nWhen any school is identified for CSI, TSI, or ATSI, the Superintendent or designee shall notify the school community, including the principal, teachers, and parent/guardians of students of the school, of the identification and, if applicable, shall inform the school of the student subgroup(s) which are consistently underperforming at the school.\n\nSchool Plan\n Upon receiving notification from CDE that a district school has been identified as eligible for CSI, TSI, or ATSI, the district shall, in partnership with principals, other school leaders, teachers, and parents/guardians, develop and implement a plan to improve student outcomes at the school.
